Buckskin Brigades, A Western Murder Of A Native Indian Chief Changes The Course Of History

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, January 14, 2016 ) Hollywood, CA -- Hollywood, CA — Galaxy Press starts the New Year 2016 with a story of honor and integrity told in the best of L. Ron Hubbard fashion. His Western Fiction story, "Buckskin Brigades", a story that the New York Times states, "Mr. Hubbard has reversed the time-honored formula and has given a thriller to which, at the end of every chapter or so, another pale face bites the dust…[It has] and enthusiasm, even a freshness and sparkle, decidedly rare in this type of romance."

"Buckskin Brigades" is a story that takes place during the Lewis & Clark Expedition, where the murder of a Native American Blackfeet Indian Chief in 1806, near the tow of what is now Helena, Montana, and the consequences effectively change the history.

The adventure depicts the nascent of the American Northwest and masterfully weaves together the events of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, meeting the Blackfeet Indians, the greedy and rapacious fur traders, and a white man named Michael Kirk, but known to the Blackfeet as "Yellow Hair."

The story's message created such an impact that it garnered a letter of recognition to L. Ron Hubbard from the Council Members of the Blackfee Nation. A quote reads, "Like ‘Yellow Hair' you have walked the Blackfeet path with honor and have showed our people in a true light. Never has our morals and ethics been presented with such clarity."

Born in Tilden, Nebraska on March 13, 1911, L. Ron Hubbard is one of the most prolific fiction writers of our time. In his five decade writing career he has produced over 15 million words of fiction. During the 1930's and 40's, when he most active, he wrote over 200 short stories, novellas and novels under his name or 15 different pen names. His rate averaged out to 100,000 words per month and he wrote in genres that spanned adventure, science fiction, detective, westerns and fantasy. One can find his works at Galaxy Press.

"Buckskin Brigades" is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Galaxy Press.
