Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, June 28, 2016 ) Los Angeles, California -- Today wellness company Zen Strength launched a survey of questions to analyse America's exercise habits.
The survey is made up of ten questions that seek to get to grips with how much exercise people are doing - how frequently and for how long - compared to what they would like to be doing.
It also asks what stops people from exercising more with possible answers being not having enough time, being too tired or stressed and concerned about other things, or another specified reason.
Another question asks why people would be motivated to want to exercise more. There is also a question about how much people believe that stress affects their quality of life; stress is paradoxically both helped by regular exercise but can make us less inclined to do it.
The survey aims to assess how many people could benefit by adding simple and effect hand exercises into their daily and weekly routine.
Paula Jenkins, CEO for Zen Strength, which has recently launched a combined hand therapy ball and extensor exerciser said:
"We want to see how many people could benefit from adding simple hand exercises into their weekly routine. Numerous scientific studies show that simple exercises to strengthen hand grip can help positively manage stress and significantly reduce high blood pressure by as much as 10%. Grip strength has also been shown to be a reliable indicator of mobility in later years."
At a time when more than two thirds of US adults are considered to be overweight or obese, we are keen to find ways to support people with easy ways to start exercising more.
Whilst hand exercise might seem like an easy ‘opt-out' to more rigorous strength building and aerobic activity, we believe that it can be a very helpful first step to a healthier lifestyle for many people.
Because you can do hand exercises sitting on your sofa, it's accessible to almost everyone and just 20 minutes 4-5 times a week can make a very significant positive impact on health."
The survey is running for two weeks, and will be targeted to US based facebook users. Results will be reported later this month.
