Los Angles Press Releases

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, March 31, 2016 ) Shadow Hills, CA -- Warm weather puts trade show season into high gear and multi-purpose planning makes a budget difference: It's time to squeeze more attention-getting potential out of a buck. Los Angeles-based Step and Repeat LA has 7 years of industry trade shows, premiers, galas and media-making events to draw on for inspiration and budget-saver tips when it comes to getting the most out of backdrops.
"Setting up a trade show is never cheap," says company rep Anthony Klemp. "It's always made sense for us to help plan ways our clients can use the materials more than once." Klemp says he's made logo pattern ‘step and repeat' backdrops for shows more times than he can remember, and suggested stretching the budget a little on one show to get big prints and then reuse the murals in new ways over time.
"We've seen every trick in the book, I think," Klemp said. "Say there's a rack display in front of a wall at a show. Folks put the rack on wheels and print the wall with logos. When someone wants an interview or a grip and grin shot, they wheel stuff out of the way for a bit and there's the mural. The brand is all over the background and it didn't cost anything extra. The wall had to be there anyway."
Klemp also pointed out that mural -sized prints can be repurposed for years. The mural material can be reused as backlit panels, cut to different sizes for a different show, mounted on a wall at headquarters or used as a stand-alone portable kit with a stand for smaller events and parties. Step and Repeat LA has seen logo wall backdrops behind more than glamorous media events; their mural systems have been behind product displays, counters and tables, shelf racks, cars, boats, and across stadium walls behind sports teams.
According to the company, the key to reusing the big prints is getting a good product to start with. "Clients want to roll these things up and use them over and over again, but a cheap print on poor material won't hold up," asserted Klemp. "We print on 13 ounce vinyl. This stuff takes a beating and wipes off to look like new. We've done logo walls as long as a football field," Klemp said. "If the client gets a big print to start with, trust me, we'll be seeing them use it again later!"
