Brookyo Mosquito Repellent Bracelet Protects Against The Spread Of Zika Virus In The U.S.

(LosAngeles.CityRegions.Com, March 30, 2016 ) Los Angeles, CA -- Summary: In an effort to help protect families across the nation against the rapidly spreading Zika virus, a Los Angeles-based company, says its eye-catching and colorful bracelets will help keep mosquitos away from biting kids.

According to a new report from the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), the Zika virus may soon affect more than 50 U.S. cities, but thanks to the creators of a product called the Brookyo Mosquito Repellent Bracelet, parents across America will now be able to protect their children against the Zika virus.

"Our product is a mosquito bracelet band, using no deet, and all-natural essential oils," said Timothy Lee, spokesman for Brookyo Mosquito Repellent Bracelet. "It's a non-toxic repellent bracelet that comes in a re-sealable bag that has four bracelets with a fun design for kids, and a free six patches for a day use that can be stuck onto backpacks, discreetly on clothes."

The availability of the Brookyo Mosquito Repellent Bracelet could prove to have perfect timing due to the fact that, according to the NCAR report, weather, travel, and poverty may facilitate summertime outbreaks of Zika virus in many U.S. cities.

Lee pointed out that the Brookyo Mosquito Repellent Bracelet, which is specifically geared toward families and mothers who love the outdoors, barbeques, swimming, visiting parks, hitting the hiking trail, and travelers to humid areas, such as the jungle, southeast Asia, Central America, Africa, and more, is highly effective, and has a pleasant scent without harmful chemicals like deet.

The company spokesman went on to explain that the great thing about his company's bracelets is that they not only protect against the Zika virus, but the bracelets, which comes as an adjustable bracelet that fits everyone, have animal designs which he says make it fun for kids to want to wear them.

"It has a great scent that protects kids for extended periods," Lee said, before adding, "The bracelet protects for up to seven days of continuous use. Re-sealing the bracelet in the bag extends its usage time."

The Zika virus has so far affected people primarily in Latin America and the Caribbean. It's carried by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The virus-carrying mosquito, according to the NCAR report, will likely be increasingly abundant across much of the southern and eastern United States as the weather warms. Summertime weather conditions are favorable for populations of the mosquito along the East Coast as far north as New York City and across the southern tier of the country as far west as Phoenix and Los Angeles, according to specialized computer simulations conceived and run by researchers at NCAR and the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center.

In addition, by analyzing travel patterns from countries and territories with Zika outbreaks, the research team further concluded that cities in southern Florida and impoverished areas in southern Texas may be particularly vulnerable to local virus transmission. But the risk isn't just in the U.S. As President Barack Obama made history in Cuba this week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a new travel warning over the rapidly spreading Zika virus, which recently broached the shores of the island nation. The CDC announced that the Zika virus is being transmitted in Cuba through mosquitoes and recommended that pregnant women avoid traveling to the country. Cuban health officials so far confirmed five instances of people infected with the virus, with an additional 130 people showing symptoms.

"Protecting your kids from mosquito bites that carry the Zika virus whether it's in the U.S., Cuba, or wherever, has never been easier," Lee stressed. "We have a product that smells good, and is very effective. Our family pack is good for families. We include a bonus: Six patches that can be used for a day trip as well. Plus, it lasts longer than other products currently on the market."
